Job Description
MetroStar is seeking a AI Engineer to develop and operationalize AI solutions as part of our Innovation Lab. As an AI Engineer you will work hands-on with emerging technologies collaborating across teams to prototype and deliver advanced AI capabilities in support of critical customer missions.
What youll do:
- Collaborate with R&D and delivery teams to design and develop AI solutions within an agile DevSecOps environment
- Implement and test machine learning models and workflows using modern data science and engineering practices
- Contribute to experimentation rapid prototyping and transitioning AI capabilities into operational environments
- Participate in the continuous improvement of our AI development lifecycle tooling and infrastructure
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to evaluate and integrate AI technologies in support of mission outcomes
What youll need to succeed:
- 4 years of experience applying AI/ML techniques in production or research environments
- Experience with data engineering and cloud-native platforms
- Familiarity with open-source contributions or community engagement
- Exposure to AI experimentation frameworks and model serving architectures
- Experience working on client-facing initiatives or technical demonstrations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or above security clearance
Bonus points if you have:
- A bachelors or masters degree in computer science data science or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and modern data science tools (e.g. Jupyter Pandas NumPy Scikit-Learn)
- Experience with machine learning model development and evaluation
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and working within agile collaborative environments
- Working knowledge of MLOps workflows and tool

SALARY RANGE: $142000 - $189000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications skills and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidates professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
