Primary Objective:
This role is responsible for the management of major multidiscipline engineering studies and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manage and supervise the construction team to achieve project objectives in terms of safety quality schedule and budget.
- Develop and implement construction execution plans ensuring alignment with project scope and milestones.
- Coordinate with engineering procurement and commissioning teams to ensure smooth work transitions and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Monitor daily construction activities ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations (HSE standards).
- Review and approve subcontractor work plans method statements and schedules.
- Manage manpower equipment and material resources effectively to meet project demands.
- Conduct regular site meetings with stakeholders including subcontractors engineers and client representatives.
- Ensure accurate progress reporting change management and proper documentation of construction activities.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on site ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills / Experience:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Demonstrable commitment to HSE management in a project environment
- Strong knowledge of construction methods industry standards and oil & gas safety regulations.
- A high level of customer focus
- Experience with managing projects involving input from a variety of internal and external sources
- Relevant engineering degree with a minimum of relevant years experience in building and infrastructure projects in oil and gas industry
- Sound understanding of applicable local & international engineering standards and codes of practice
- Eligible for SCE Membership
- A proven track record in managing major projects with a minimum of relevant years experience as a Project Manager
