About the Role:
As a Forwarder Import/Export you serve as a vital link between Samskip and our clients. Based in the Logistics Department you are responsible for managing the end-to-end transportation process from loading and shipping to final delivery while ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate. Your role is essential in providing high-quality professional service to our customers and maintaining strong working relationships with shipping lines overseas offices and transport partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage LCL and FCL (dry and reefer) import and export shipments in cooperation with internal teams and external partners in line with customer agreements.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the shipment process including bookings documentation invoicing and AMS/ISF/ACI declarations following established procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate exchange of documentation and information with other departments.
- Anticipate and resolve potential transportation issues providing proactive updates to all stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers overseas offices shipping lines and carriers.
- Handle financial processes including the preparation verification and invoicing of shipment files.

A natural communicator you foster long-term relationships with clients and partners and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A relevant MBO or HBO degree in logistics such as Manager Havenlogistiek (Port Logistics Manager).
- 25 years of experience in a comparable role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- A self-motivated accurate and process-oriented approach to work.
