JOB OVERVIEW
Managing import and export operations ensuring compliance with customs regulations coordinating with suppliers and service providers and facilitating the timely and efficient movement of goods.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Import and Export Operations:
- Managing inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinating with suppliers forwarders and brokers to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with customs regulations and procedures.
- Facilitating import and export transactions including documentation and permits.
- Monitoring shipments and tracking their progress.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Preparing and maintaining import-export documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with PEZA (Philippine Economic Zone Authority) and Bureau of Customs (BOC) regulations.
- Maintaining and updating clearance and permits needed for customs processes.
Communication and Coordination:
- Communicating with suppliers forwarders brokers and other stakeholders.
- Resolving issues related to shipments and customs clearance.
- Collaborating with other departments such as finance and purchasing.
Other Duties:
- Reviewing weekly inventory reports and analyzing requirements.
- Negotiating commercial terms with vendors.
- Preparing commercial evaluation reports.
- Auditing freight costs and documentation.
- Handling claims with insurance companies.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or related field.
- Proven experience in import/export operations logistics or procurement.
- Strong knowledge of PEZA BOC and customs regulations.
- Skilled in preparing and managing import/export documentation and permits.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with suppliers brokers and internal teams.
- Proficient in shipment tracking inventory reporting and freight cost analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills in resolving shipment and customs clearance issues.
- Experience in negotiating vendor terms and handling claims with insurance providers.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willing to work Mon-Sat onsite in Mandaue office
