Client Overview

Our client is a thriving F&B company based in Kuala Lumpur known for its dynamic and growth-oriented environment.


Job Summary

Were looking for a highly capable Assistant Finance Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly accurately and in compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions adhering to accounting standards and company policies.

  • Guarantee timely and compliant financial reporting to management and statutory bodies.

  • Prepare monthly group financial reports ensuring their completeness and precision.

  • Oversee the billing and credit division to ensure efficient billing and collection processes.

  • Monitor and verify supplier payments.

  • Manage cash flow effectively and handle all banking matters.

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycles.

  • Coordinate with external auditors for proper accounting practices and year-end audits.

  • Drive accounting system implementations and process improvements.

  • Manage local tax reporting including reviewing computations estimates and submissions to ensure compliance.

  • Supervise the management of company corporate and legal documents and applications in line with local laws.

  • Actively participate in coaching and developing team members.

  • Always adhere to company policies and directives and undertake ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • A university degree and professional qualifications in Finance/Accounting.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting with at least 3 years in a people management role.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting corporate finance and reporting.

  • Exceptional attention to detail a deadline-oriented approach and familiarity with IFRS & MFRS.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian taxation matters and strong leadership abilities.

Ideally youll also have:

  • Significant experience within the F&B industry.

  • A positive attitude a strong work ethic and a drive for growth.

  • The ability to multitask effectively lead a team and be a team player.

  • Strong analytical skills a resourceful and independent mindset and adaptability to change.

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.

  • Expertise in group restructuring and consolidation.

  • (A plus if you have) Knowledge of US Listing Requirements and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
