We are hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing to a leading Nursing Home in .
Responsibilities
- Help the DON oversee and direct the provision of evidence-based person-centered nursing care.
- Clinical procedures should be observed and assessed to make sure they adhere to national health policy and current HIQA requirements.
- Work with the multidisciplinary team to support the creation execution and oversight of care plans.
- Supervise infection prevention and control strategies in accordance with the most recent HIQA guidelines.
- Support the planning execution and follow-up of HIQA audits and inspections.
- Keep up-to-date all necessary records such as risk registers incident logs care plans and audit findings.
- Encourage ongoing professional development by supervising mentoring and assisting nursing and care personnel.
- Take part in rostering performance reviews onboarding and hiring.
Requirements
- Active registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) is necessary. three years or more of post-registration experience in an aged care environment nursing home or nursing management.
- Proven familiarity with the National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People in Ireland the HIQA Standards and pertinent laws.
- It is preferred to have leadership experience and/or a management credential (such as QQI Level 6 in Management).
- A postgraduate degree in nursing administration.
