Job Description

  • Part-time (0.8FTE) position until June 30 2026
  • Based from our Box Hill office on the lands of the Wurundjeri People.
  • $44.00 - $48.99 per hour 12% Super Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18550

 

What youll be doing 
We are seeking a Psychosocial Support Worker to deliver high-quality mental health and wellbeing support as part of the Partners in Wellbeing (PIW) program.

In this role you will:

  • Client-focused support (ages 16): Work closely with clients to identify sources of distress and help them gain clarity around their thoughts feelings and goals.
  • Flexible service delivery: Deliver time-limited outcome-oriented support through a mix of Telehealth and onsite appointments (as requested).
  • Navigation and practical support: Assist clients in accessing community resources and navigating services including support with NDIS access housing and dual-diagnosis needs.
  • Recovery and strengths-based planning: Use a Recovery-oriented and strengths-based framework to develop implement and review action plans collaboratively with clients carers and clinical supports.
  • Walk-in and single-session response: Support walk-in clients with single-session responses intake and service navigation.
  • Collaboration with external services: Engage with Area Mental Health Services and other external supports to develop comprehensive wellbeing and risk management plans.
  • Family violence framework application: Apply knowledge of MARAM FVISS and CISS frameworks when working with individuals impacted by Family Violence.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including family/carers peers and community networks.

Please note: This role is not associated with the NDIS youll be supporting clients with psychosocial needs through community-based and clinical mental health pathways.

Who were looking for 
As a Psychosocial Support Worker you bring experience working with a dedicated mental health caseload and understand the needs of clients with complex psychosocial support requirements.

You will also have:


Qualifications :

  • Diploma level Tertiary qualification(s) in mental health community health or a related field
