A DAY IN THE LIFE
Enthalpy Analytical is part of the larger organization Montrose Environmental Group is comprised of over 9 laboratories servicing air water and soil testing. Regulations drive the need for our services but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.
Our Deer Park laboratory is currently seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Technician I to join our Air Department.
Pay: $20 - 22/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM potential for overtime weekend and holidays dependent on client needs.
As a key member of the equipment team this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Laboratory (Equipment) Technician I oversees the daily operation maintenance and repair of environmental sampling equipment. This includes cleaning certifying and maintaining the inventory and support of laboratory operations
Daily shipping receiving and processing of equipment request and samples based on clients needs
Preparation calibration certification and repair of air sampling equipment
Maintaining clean laboratory areas
Maintaining organized records of equipment requests and fulfillment
Tracking inventory from multiple sites Sample/Equipment Receipt
Sample Pressurization/Preparation
Sample Screening
Sample Archive Management
Flow Controller inspection calibration leak checking
Assist with the loading of cleaning batches
Assist with equipment order assembly/packing
Comply with Enthalpys Quality Assurance Program and other policies
Comply with Enthalpys Health and Safety Plan
Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. High School Diploma or GED Required Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
Strong MS Office skills
Must have strong mechanical skills and enjoy working with tools on a daily basis
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and to lift/manipulate smaller weight items throughout the day.
Must have the ability to stand and move about for approximately 80% of the shift.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of general lab practices and lab safety
Database/LIMS experience is highly preferred
Prior warehouse and/or shipping and receiving experience
