Job Description:

Titan Lansing a wholly owned subsidiary of the Andersons is a turnkey logistics company servicing our customers from mine to well. Services include frac sand storage trucking sand production and transloading.


The Quality Control Lead is responsible for routine sampling and testing of proppants ensuring all products meet or exceed industry specifications and all testing procedures and practices are in compliance. This position will be located at our Buffalo Grass terminal located between Carlsbad and Hobbs New Mexico.


Key Responsibilities
Responsible for routine sampling and testing of proppants as well as assuring personnel and equipment safety.
Monitoring quality of work each technician is producing by ensuring all products meet or exceed industry specifications and all testing procedures and practices are compliant with API and ISOstandards.
Maintain the standards of the quality control lab which includes training employees in standard operating procedures safety policies and company policies.
Maintain processes and equipment as well as interacting with other functional areas such as procurement accounting and human resources to maintain the lab.
Communicate with management and customers and maintain written or electronic records.
Predict plan and interact with operations to strategically target production goals that align with quality standards.
Provide periodic reports to management regarding product quality.
Train others to perform sieve and turbidity analysis in accordance with approved methods and procedures and step into complete duties when necessary.
Train others to perform data entry and analysis as well as engage in those activities themselves while also setting a positive example for others to follow.
Perform additional testing and tasks including microscope analysis of sand/proppants stockpile moisture testing air quality sampling and monitoring assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to operations equipment maintenance and calibration.
Observe report troubleshoot and correct situations that are likely to develop into operational problems or safety hazards.
Work is supervised by the Office Supervisor and General Manager for adherence to instructions and established standards.
This position is subject to other work as assigned by the Office Supervisor and General Manager

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
3-5 years of experience in testing proppants


Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Hard Hats Reflective Vests Steel Toe Boots Gloves
Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions including extremes in temperatures and hazards associated with equipment operation and material handling
Working conditions could include dust fumes moderate noise and uneven surfaces
