Serves as the main point of contact at the CentreTech Campus for serving students at the front counter. Oversees the coordination of the Financial Aid Office front coverage by creating schedule to manage addition answer incoming Financial Aid Office emails and provide both general and specific financial aid information to current and prospective students and their families. Also via staff specific telephone and email; clarifying financial aid policies and procedures and accessing computer information on the student file.
Interviews hires trains and supervises student employee staff for the Financial Aid Office. Obtains student employee class schedule and work schedule to determine coverage & availability to create master schedule to ensure proper coverage for the Financial Aid front desk. Trains student employees so that student employees are
confident and comfortable in understanding financial aid regulations & policies to review student files to assist students and prospective students who
come in or email the Financial Aid Office. Assists the Director and/or Assistant Director with special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:
Two (2) years of general office or clerical experience including at least six (6) months of experience serving in a work leader or supervisory capacity which may include assigning tasks providing guidance or training to staff or overseeing workflow. Daily interaction with students faculty and staff require that this position have strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy is a must. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this position. Do not use see resume statements in application. Your application must be completed in detail showing relevant experience in order to be considered. Part time experience will be prorated.

Education and Experience:
College university or non-correspondence business school course work from an accredited institution in Business or related field may substitute for the clerical experience as listed above on a year for year basis. A copy of your transcript verifying the required credits must be received by application deadline in order to be considered if using substitution. Please redact age-related information on your transcript.
Conditions of Employment:Must submit to and successfully complete a pre-employment background check as a condition of hire. Felony convictions or conviction of crimes of moral turpitude or convictions of misdemeanors related to job duties may disqualify you from consideration for this position. Preferred Qualifications:Please provide a detailed description on your application of your relevant workexperience and document examples of your work in relation to the following: experience involving a wide range of clerical responsibilities. Demonstrated knowledge of the financial aid award process. Working knowledge of Banner or related student information system. Strong organizational skills. Knowledge of the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). High level of speed and accuracy regarding data entry. Excellent interpersonal skills; attention to detail (ability to check for typographical grammatical and spelling errors etc.); ability to multitask; excellent communication skills in person and on the telephone; excellent written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge in extracting information from Excel spreadsheets. Ability to deal with a diverse population with discretion and tact.
Appeal Rights:
