The opportunity

We are looking for Senior Consultants to join our Financial Services Office (FSO) supporting the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) are seeking driven and ambitious people to play a key role in driving growth by developing new and existing client relationships supporting highly skilled project teams and delivering a first-class client team provides finance treasury and other advisory services on financial product distribution and consumptions to banking insurers asset management corporate and government clients. This role is open to individuals with valid Australian working rights.

This roles are based in Warrang Sydney and Naarm - Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

• Embrace a variety of client / project experiences working collaboratively with EY teams.
• Be eager to learn on new engagements in both an advisory and assurance capacity.
• Demonstrate an intermediate proficiencyin technical accounting financial reporting and controls.
• Be professional and a self-starter who can both operate in teams and autonomously.
• Be accountable for quality work products (work papers and reports).
• Learn and ensure compliance with EYs quality and risk management principles.

Skills and attributes for success

• Relevant bachelors degree and completed professional qualifications relevant to Finance Risk or Treasury i.e. CAANZ or CFA (or equivalent recognised by these specific bodies).
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 product suite.
• Advanced business writing skills and communication skills (written and oral).
• Open to travel for work purposes flexible with work hours to accommodate project deadlines.

Ideally youll also have the skills and attributes below but dont worry if you dont tick all the boxes. Were interested in your aptitude attitude and willingness to learn.

• Working experience in the Financial Services sector preferably in Finance and Treasury.
• Capability in technical accounting financial reporting and controls.
• Knowledge of or experience with accounting standard related to financial instruments i.e.: AASB9 AASB 13.
• Knowledge of contemporary technology tools such as Alteryx BluePrism PowerBI or Tableau.
