General Purpose:
The Mixologist is responsible for crafting signature cocktails supporting the overall beverage program and bartending during Club events. This position requires creativity attention to detail and a strong sense of hospitality to ensure members and guests receive a premium beverage experience.
Essential Duties:
Curate and execute high-quality creative cocktails and seasonal drink menus in collaboration with the Clubhouse Manager.
Take the lead in improving and establishing bar standards including presentation technique cleanliness and service protocols.
Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with Club standards and responsible alcohol service policies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times.
Provide bartending services during daily operations and special Club events both on- and off-site.
Assist in beverage inventory including rotation stock levels and communicating needs to management.
Participate in tastings and product education sessions as needed to support staff development.
Perform opening and closing duties including restocking cleaning and reconciling sales.
Ensure compliance with all applicable liquor laws and Club policies.
Provide friendly professional and timely service to members and guests.
Support execution of beverage components at banquets tournaments and catered functions.
Incorporate safe work practices into daily performance.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of bartending or mixology experience in an upscale or hospitality-driven environment preferred.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands walks talks hears and uses hands to handle or feel objects.
Regularly reaches with arms and lifts up to 25 pounds; occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work extended hours including nights weekends and holidays as needed.
Environment/Noise:
Moderate to high noise levels in bar and event settings.
Occasional work outdoors or off-site.
Certificates/Licenses:
Alcohol Awareness Training (required or ability to obtain upon hire).
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of wine beer and spirits including origin flavor profile and proper service.
Creativity and enthusiasm for developing original cocktails.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Basic knowledge of POS systems and beverage cost awareness.
