Job Description
Entry-level professional with limited or no prior experience to contribute on a project or program. Role learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature requiring limited judgment and decision making. This level is typically focused on self-development. Essential Functions
Create reports and complex queries (20%)
- Create clear and concise reports to present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Write queries to support business needs.
- Maintain queries for data mining in correlation with a given objective.
Gather requirements and write work requests (20%)
- Gather requirements and write work requests for technical staff to modify or create new applications.
- Work closely with the Information Technology Division to prioritize design develop test and implement these solutions that will be submitted and tracked through IT work requests.
- Delivery of daily and/or monthly status reports to all appropriate parties.
Evaluate and Document Business Process (40%)
- Assist in evaluating analyzing and communicating systems requirements on a continuing basis.
- Maintain a process guide outlining the divisions existing systems and how they are being used.
- HelpHelp identify system inadequacies and provide solutions needed to enhance workflow.
Support business applications (10%)
- Provide intermediary support to staff for technical issues of the Divisions systems.
- Provide training and documentation for system enhancements and staff policies and procedures changes.
- Serve as system administrator for various related software applications third-party software interfaces and portals as assigned.
Develop User Acceptance Tests (10%)
- Assist senior staff in writing test plans that fully encompass all possible scenarios within a business process.
- Execute test plans document methods and report findings in clear and concise methods.
- Monitor testing and verify expected outcomes.
Job Specifications
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Demonstrated experience with data mining and statistics.
- Strong ability to interpret data draw meaningful conclusions and identify patterns.
- Proficiency in data extraction analysis and tools (e.g. Excel SQL) project management tools and potentially programming languages depending on the role.
- Effectively communicating with different stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations.
- Problem solving for identifying root causes of issues and proposing effective solutions.
- Understanding following and explaining complex processes.
- Excellent planning organizational and time management skills
- Must be a resident of Pennsylvania and able to work at the Harrisburg location a minimum of two days a week.
