JOB SUMMARY:
Business Operational Concepts (BOC) is currently seeking a seeking a Junior Scientific Oceanographic and GIS Application Programmer to work with our federal client. The ideal candidate will work for an agency that operates approximately 285 desktop/laptops a mix of 90 physical and virtual Linux servers (i.e. development testing and production environments) 25 physical and virtual Windows servers storage devices and a mix of network devices. The agency operates a Linux server farm located in the cloud in AWS and hosts more than 60 scientific oceanographic and geospatial applications which provide real-time scientific oceanographic and geospatial information to warn of pending storms and storm surge and support marine addition a real-time Continuity of Operations (COOP) infrastructure is located in the cloud via AWS with the capacity for pr works for an agency that operates approximately 285 desktop/laptops a mix of 90 physical and virtual Linux servers (i.e. development testing and production environments) 25 physical and virtual Windows servers storage devices and a mix of network devices.
