Job Description
Overview:
Client is seeking an experienced GIS Systems Analyst to support the Elections Department during the upcoming Texas State redistricting process. Legislative changes are expected to result in multiple adjustments to State Representative district boundaries creating a significant increase in GIS workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update maintain and analyze GIS data related to election district boundaries.
- Produce maps reports and spatial data to support redistricting activities.
- Collaborate with Elections staff to ensure data accuracy and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Manage GIS datasets perform spatial analysis and provide technical support as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a GIS Analyst or similar role.
- Proficiency in GIS software and spatial data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Ability to work onsite and meet tight project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in election-related GIS projects.
- Familiarity with Texas State redistricting processes.
