Job Description

Middle School Youth Minister
Saint John Neumann Catholic Church exists to offer a life changing encounter with Jesus Christ. Located at 44800 Warren Road in Canton Michigan the parish is home to over 1000 registered families. Led by our shepherd Father Paul Ballien.
Interested candidates can contact Lyndsey Osterholt Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry with any direct questions. or ext. 111.
  1. Design a two-year catechesis program that supports lifelong learning into program planning.
    1. Evaluate AOD curricula standards and ensure implementation and Integrate insights from trusted sources in annual audit of curricula
    2. Align curricula with annual calendar. Calendar to be shared with volunteers clergy as needed and parents.
  2. Attend the two annual retreat options for Middle Schoolers.
  3. Attend Confirmation Mass.
  4. Communication.
    1. Weekly communication with parents and students is desired in the form of a newsletter. Can be printed or emailed.
    2. Annual calendar to be created published and printed.
    3. Creation of bulletin/pulpit announcements as needed.
    4. Develop clear strategies for desired partnerships.
  5. Volunteers
    1. Manage volunteers for the middle school ministry program.
    2. Convey any changes ahead of monthly communication with volunteers.
    3. Plan and implement volunteer events as needed.
