The Role

To expand our sales team in Italy we are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Account Executive to join our Sales department.

We are looking for a talented person with a deep passion for technology and a proven track record of selling complex SaaS solutions in the B2B market.

In this role you will be the key driver for acquiring new strategic customers (new business) mainly but not solely in Italy. Your mission will be to manage the entire sales cycle from qualifying opportunities to closing deals positioning our cloud-native platform (based on technologies like Kubernetes microservices containers) as the ideal solution for our clients innovation challenges.

As an Account Executive you will work closely with Solution Architects Marketing and Customer Success teams to ensure impeccable customer experience and to exceed your sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Cycle Management: independently manage the entire B2B sales process from taking over qualified leads (MQLs/SQLs) to negotiating and signing contracts

  • Business Development: identify and develop new business opportunities through targeted prospecting of target clients (mid-market and enterprise)

  • Strategic Relationships: build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers (CTOs CIOs Heads of Engineering IT Managers) within client organizations

  • Pipeline Management: accurately manage your sales pipeline and provide reliable revenue forecasts using our CRM.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: work closely with Sales Engineers to prepare customized technical demos and with the Marketing team to optimize lead generation strategies

  • Stay updated on market trends competitors and customer needs to provide valuable insights

Job requirements

  • 5 as an Account Executive with a demonstrable track record of success in selling SaaS software licenses to B2B customers.

  • Proven B2B sales experience managing complex value-based (value-selling) and solution-oriented sales cycles.

  • A strong understanding of the concepts and benefits related to cloud-native technologies. You dont need to be an engineer but you must be able to speak confidently about topics such as Cloud (AWS Azure GCP) containers (Docker Kubernetes) microservices architectures and APIs.

  • Pragmatic proactive and goal-oriented

  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
