Job Description
Minimum requirements:
- B Com Degree
- SAICA articles (completed/signed off within the last two years)
- 1year post articles accounting experience
- Advanced computer literacy (MS Office)
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good understanding of accounting Verbal and written communication
- Experience in accounting treatment of future contracts derivatives and SAFEX transactions
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of purchase and sale transactions including all ancillary items
- Provide management with feedback on the results of the analysis
- Identification and reporting of risks/shortfalls
- Confirm the accuracy of monthend calculations and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with group policies applicable regulations VAT and tax legislation and assist internal and external auditors when required
- Assistance with the preparation of annual budgets
- Ensure proper filing and recordkeeping of documents
