Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Researcher in Biotechnology to lead critical work in molecular markers for tropical and subtropical fruit trees. The successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of fruit agriculture by conducting high-impact research mentoring emerging scientists and engaging with key industry and government stakeholders.
Requirements
PhD in Plant Biotechnology or Molecular Biology. Relevant experience of at least 3 years in a scientific research environment studying molecular markers in -depth knowledge of Plant Biotechnology or Plant Molecular Biology, with particular emphasis on molecular marker technologies. Proven record of at least 3 scientific publications and presentations at scientific conferences and symposia. Registration with a scientific and professional body will be an added advantage. Proven history of collaboration at the national level. Proven history of mentoring and supervising or co-supervising researchers and students. Proven history of strategic and operational planning skills and expertise. Proficiency in the MS Office suite. Code EB driver s license.
