Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a passion for cost control project efficiency and delivering value Join our clients dynamic team and work on exciting projects that shape our built environment!
Requirements:
BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying
Registered Professional (SACQSP)
5 years experience in the construction industry
Strong background in cost estimation tendering and contract administration
Proficient in software such as WinQS CCS Candy or BuildSmart
Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates budgets and financial reports for construction projects.
Measure and quantify materials labour and services required for project delivery (BOQs).
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis to support project planning.
Administer contracts including tendering processes contract negotiation and compliance monitoring.
Evaluate and approve subcontractor quotations and progress claims.
Monitor project costs throughout all phases and identify any variations or cost overruns.
Manage change control processes and assess the cost impact of design or scope changes.
Prepare interim and final account valuations and settle final accounts with contractors.
Liaise with clients architects engineers contractors and suppliers to ensure alignment on project costs and timelines.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal regulatory and professional standards (e.g. SACQSP JBCC/FIDIC contracts).
Provide strategic input into value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
Support project risk management through cost-related insights and forecasting.
