The Content Marketing Team Leader plays a critical role in the strategy development and execution of high-impact marketing content across digital platforms. This role is key to aligning content with business goals leading a high-performing team and using analytics to drive continuous improvement. Youll collaborate closely with academic and marketing stakeholders to ensure consistent effective and brand-aligned content delivery.
Develop and implement content strategies aligned to business goals like lead generation brand awareness and revenue growth
Ensure content is tailored to the buyer journey and utilises emotional/logical triggers at each stage
Leverage data insights and analytics to continuously improve content performance
Work cross-functionally to align content with broader marketing objectives
Manage and guide Content Marketing Coordinators
Oversee timely delivery of engaging and accurate website and marketing content
Contribute to course guide updates and maintain tone and brand voice
Use CMS systems AI tools and content optimisation software
Apply project management best practices and ensure SEO effectiveness
Provide mentorship and clear direction to team members
Encourage accountability ownership and professional growth
Conduct regular team reviews foster collaboration and lead through transitions
Demonstrate proactive problem solving business etiquette and stakeholder engagement
Partner with Marketing Managers to align content with digital strategies
Collaborate with Academic Teams to ensure accurate course representation
Champion new tools and advocate for digital content marketing best practices
Monitor content engagement metrics to inform strategies
Leverage SEO AI and digital marketing analytics
Implement scalable workflows and stay current with industry trends
A clearly structured content strategy driving engagement and growth
High-performing and empowered team delivering consistent content
Improved SEO and engagement via data-driven optimisation
Seamless collaboration across departments and stakeholder groups
Accurate on-brand content across all digital touchpoints
University degree in Marketing Strategic Communications or related field
10 years experience in B2C content marketing preferably in large organisations
Strong project management experience ideally using platforms like
Demonstrated use of data-driven insights in content strategy
Proven team leadership and mentoring experience
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Commercial acumen and adaptability to fast-paced environments
High level of attention to detail accuracy and multitasking ability
Experience in the Higher Education sector
