Job Description

Job Purpose

To maximize sustainable revenue streams through the origination and implementation ofprofitable specialised debt financing transactions in various African countries in the commercial property sector.

Job Responsibilities

  • Originate transactions by scanning the market marketing and pitching ideas and networking.
  • Evaluate countries for property finance opportunities and develop marketing strategiesto harness these opportunities.
  • Execute transactions by structuring analysing negotiating managing and pitching the deal.
  • Manage costs and contribute to Business Unit cost efficiency by operating within the allocatedbudget.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders by networkingfostering collaboration regular communication and complying with the governance and controls.
  • Build and maintain external stakeholder relationships by networking / conferencing maintainingregular contact ongoing communication site visits and pitching ideas.
  • Ensure compliance by sanctions checking and adhering to (FICA Internal and Environmental)regulations policies and procedures.
  • Execute credit approval process by rating pricing analysing applicationconstructive communication and consultation.
  • Manage deal implementation by structuring negotiating and attending to legal matters& Conditions precedent (CP).
  • Ensure ongoing risk management by reviewing risk annually assessingperformance undertakings client visits and engaging with Transaction and Credit.
  • Improve performance of team by providing on the job training knowledge sharingand identifying suitable formal & informal training.
  • Get involved in nondeal specific projects by providing expert advice & training testing andimplementing.
  • Support the achievement of the business strategy objectives and values by reviewing Nedbankand Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems processes services and solutions arealigned.
  • Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifyingtraining courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers

Essential Qualifications NQF Level

  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

Masters Degree in Commerce/Business Sciences/Finance/Accounting or other relevant field

Preferred Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (SA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

Minimum Experience Level

  • Minimum of 810 years Commercial property / Investment banking experience in Africancountries.
  • Highlevel understanding of Withholding Tax legal environment accross Africa jurisdications structuring requirements country risk.
