Job Description
On behalf of our client a leading engineering consultancy in the power and energy sector we are seeking a talented and driven Electrical Engineer with a strong background in substation design.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and review of electrical substations up to Insert Voltage Level e.g. 132kV/220kV/400kV
- Develop detailed electrical schematics layouts and protection/control systems
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery
- Conduct site visits and provide technical support during construction and commissioning
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes standards and client specifications
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng or equivalent)
- Minimum 35 years of experience in substation design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit or similar design software
- Strong understanding of protection systems HV/LV equipment and grid connection requirements
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
