Job Description
Position: Restaurant Manager
Location: Cape Town Western Cape
Reporting To: Director
Team Size: 6 Waiters
Salary: Monthly Salary: R25000 Medical Aid: Offered on a 50/50 contribution basis
A leading restaurant in the hospitality industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of a well-established venue in Cape Town. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a results-driven individual with a proven track record in managing mid-level restaurants (excluding fine dining). The ideal candidate will be passionate about service excellence skilled in team leadership and dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all front-of-house operations and ensure seamless daily restaurant performance
- Supervise and lead a team of 6 waiters ensuring excellent customer service
- Manage staff scheduling training and performance
- Handle stock control ordering and supplier coordination
- Ensure hygiene health and safety standards are adhered to
- Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently
- Monitor daily cash-ups and financial records
- Work closely with the Director on operational improvements and cost control.
Requirements:
- Transport: Own reliable transport required
- Education: Matric (Grade 12)
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Restaurant Manager in a similar type of restaurant.
