Job Description
Our client in the service sector is seeking an experienced and dedicated Laundry Supervisor to join their team.
Salary and Benefits:
- Negotiable.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of laundry staff to ensure efficient and high-quality processing of linens uniforms and guest laundry.
- Monitor washing drying ironing and folding processes to maintain fabric care standards and ensure cleanliness.
- Conduct regular inspections of laundered items to identify stains damages or quality issues and ensure proper handling.
- Assign daily tasks and schedules to laundry attendants based on workload and operational needs.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment and report any faults or breakdowns promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents chemicals and laundry supplies and notify management of replenishment needs.
- Enforce safety and hygiene protocols in the laundry area including the correct handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Train new laundry staff and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance and adherence to standards.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry operations including workload staff attendance and equipment maintenance.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linen and uniforms.

- Basic mechanical knowledge of laundry machinery and equipment.
- Knowledge of fabric care and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.

- Ability to train motivate and manage a team.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with health safety and hygiene regulations in laundry operations.
Qualifications:
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Laundry Operations or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 4 years of experience in laundry services with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and processes.
- Understanding of health and safety standards related to laundry operations.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office; experience with inventory or scheduling systems is an advantage).
