Kendrick Recruitment is currently searching for a dedicated and detailoriented Housekeeping Manager to join the team at a luxury safari lodge located within the iconic Kruger National Park. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage a dynamic housekeeping team while working in one of South Africa s most renowned wilderness areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the lodge
Train supervise and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service
Monitor inventory and ensure effective stock control of cleaning supplies and guest amenities
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain quality standards
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
Manage staff schedules leave planning and performance appraisals
Uphold health safety and hygiene standards across the property
Handle guest requests and resolve any housekeepingrelated issues promptly and professionally
Maintain and update standard operating procedures for housekeeping operations
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or in a similar leadership role within a luxury lodge or hotel environment
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
Ability to manage a team effectively and foster a positive work environment
Knowledge of housekeeping procedures products and equipment
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work under pressure and in a remote bush environment
Flexible and willing to work weekends and public holidays
