Role Overview
Our client a leading fresh produce business and Africas largest onion producer is seeking a commercially astute and strategically focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This pivotal role will oversee the full financial function of the business and play a key role in strategic planning risk management and operational performance. Based at stateoftheart facilities near Kimberley the CFO will help drive longterm growth and sustainability across our diversified agricultural operations.Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the financial function including financial operations reporting budgeting and compliance
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Board and executive team providing insightful financial analysis and risk guidance
- Oversee financial systems and controls including the rollout of a new cloudbased ERP system
- Manage preparation and presentation of financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards
- Supervise external audit processes and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies
- Drive the companys annual budgeting process and ensure effective budgetary control
- Develop and mentor a highperforming finance team aligned to business objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions auditors and key external stakeholders
- Deliver accurate realtime management accounts and business performance dashboards
- Identify costsaving and profit improvement opportunities across the business
- Support operational teams with datadriven insights to guide decisionmaking
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements:- Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification is essential
- Minimum 10 years experience in a senior financial management or executive role
- Sector experience in agriculture FMCG or food production is highly preferred
- Demonstrated success in financial leadership within a complex operationally intensive environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) and Jet Reports (advantageous)
- Proven track record of managing teams delivering strategic initiatives and driving operational efficiencies
