Job Description
Role Overview:
As the General Accounting Controller youll be responsible for endtoend processing of supplier accounts financial reconciliations and monthly reporting within a highvolume fastmoving freight forwarding environment. The role is handson deadlinedriven and critical to maintaining the integrity of the companys financial processes.

- Receive and validate 3rd party supplier invoices and statements.
- Capture and reconcile creditor accounts on accounting systems (SUN & Pegasus).
- Process supplier payments and distribute remittance advice.
- Resolve invoice and payment queries by liaising with both operations and suppliers.
- Allocate payments accurately across accounts.
- Review age analysis reports and assist with followup actions.
- Support asset processing and contribute to the maintenance of the fixed asset register.
- Assist with preparation of the monthly balance sheet.
- Ensure all invoices are processed in collaboration with accounting clerks.
- Process accruals and monthend provisions.
- Prepare VAT returns and support VAT audits.
- Generate and submit monthly reports including VAT and asset reports.
- Assist in analysing expenses for budget preparation.
- Contribute to intercompany reinvoicing and adhoc finance tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a finance/accounting role.
- Background in freight forwarding or related sector preferred.
- Strong reconciliation invoice processing and payment management skills.
- Proficient in SUN or similar accounting systems.
- High level of computer literacy particularly in Excel.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and query resolution skills.
