Job Description
Hire Resolves client a reputable and well-established civil engineering contractor based in Cape Town with a strong focus on infrastructure and bulk earthworks projects is currently seeking a highly motivated Estimator to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a genuine passion for estimating.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects using CCS (Candy) estimating software.
Analyze drawings specifications and other documentation to prepare time cost materials and labor estimates.
Collaborate with project managers engineers and site teams to gather project insights and ensure cost accuracy.
Conduct take-offs and compile BOQs.
Identify cost risks and provide recommendations to reduce costs.
Assist in tender submissions and ensure all requirements are met within tight deadlines.
Requirements
3 to 4 years of experience using CCS (Candy) in a civil estimating role.
A few years of on-site civil engineering experience (preferably in bulk earthworks or infrastructure projects).
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
A genuine passion for estimating and contributing to the financial success of civil projects.
