Roofing Estimator - Service

Location: Surrey OfficeSt Surrey BC V3Z 1A5
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Onsite
Anticipated Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. 5 p.m.
Salary: $60000 (negotiable based on experience)
Pay Schedule: Paid bi-weekly every second Friday

Reports To: Director of Service and Special Projects

Were growing and currently seeking a Roofing & Waterproofing Estimator to join our dynamic Serviceteam in Surrey. If youre analytical detail-oriented and ready to advance your estimating career this is the opportunity for you.

What Youll Do

Lead the estimating process for roofing and waterproofing service projects
Participate in weekly sales meetings and provide updates on bids awarded projects and new opportunities
Maintain and update directories of vendors contractors and subcontractors
Review project documents (drawings specs tenders) and perform accurate takeoffs
Source pricing from manufacturers suppliers and subcontractors
Perform calculations and enter data into Timberline based on drawings and site visits
Prepare and submit bid forms tender packages and quotations
Follow up with clients consultants and general contractors on bid status
Collaborate with CAD purchasing and production teams to ensure alignment
Assist with bid bonds warranties CCDC documents and related bid materials
Thrive in a fast-paced collaborative and deadline-driven estimating environment

What You Bring to the Team

Diploma or degree in engineering architecture or construction management (asset)
Minimum 1 year of experience in estimating preferably in roofing or waterproofing
Familiarity with commercial roofing/waterproofing systems and construction practices
Ability to read blueprints drawings and technical specifications
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
Clear verbal and written communication across internal and external teams
Experience with estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam PlanSwift) is considered an asset
High level of integrity with confidential project and bid information
Strong multitasking time management and prioritization skills
