Are you a qualified CA(SA) with a passion for leading high-performance teams and driving strategic financial outcomes
A dynamic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Finance Business Partner to take the lead in financial reporting performance analysis and strategic evaluation within a well-established organisation in the financial services sector. This role offers the chance to play a key part in shaping financial decision-making at a senior level working closely with business leaders to deliver insights that make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage accounting functions and processes
- Review journals reconciliations and management accounts for validity and accuracy
- Sign off on income statements and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare monthly financial packs with analysis commentary and presentations
- Lead the budgeting forecasting and variance analysis processes
- Co-ordinate and manage the annual audit process
- Support IFRS 17 implementation and other finance-related projects
- Develop and manage a high-performing finance team
- Ensure robust internal controls and work closely with internal audit (IFC) teams
- Maintain documented accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate effectively with operations and key internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- 56 years post-articles financial reporting experience in commercial financial services
- 35 years proven leadership experience
- Insurance industry experience is essential and non-negotiable
- Strong understanding of financial systems controls and budgeting
- Deep knowledge of IFRS and financial accounting processes
- Exceptional business acumen and commercial awareness
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex issues
- Digital literacy and a continuous learning mindset
- Relevant Degree
- CA (SA) qualification non-negotiable
