Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Indirect Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional to contribute to large-scale sourcing projects drive cost-efficiency and ensure supplier compliance in line with global standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive cost-effective sourcing for assigned commodities through detailed market evaluation (local and international).
Manage tenders from demand identification to sourcing recommendations and order placements.
Conduct price negotiations supplier assessments (technical and financial) and performance management.
Handle contract management including B-BBEE and ISO certifications PQCs and documentation for audit compliance.
Develop supplier relationships support process improvement (e.g. outline agreements) and ensure compliant procurement processes.
Collaborate across organisational levels and maintain structured tracking of multiple priorities and deadlines.
Use tools like SAP Excel PowerPoint and adopt a project management approach to procurement tasks.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
National Diploma or Degree in Administration Commercial Purchasing Engineering or BCom (or equivalent).
Strong analytical negotiation communication and business writing skills.
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel PowerPoint).
Understanding of Integrated Management Systems B-BBEE ESD TISAX and ISO compliance.
Ability to operate independently and manage multiple projects with a solution-oriented mindset.
