Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a dynamic and passionate Restaurant Manager for a luxury hotel property located in Franschhoek. This position is ideal for a service-driven hospitality professional with a strong background in restaurant operations and guest relations looking to lead a talented team and uphold the standards of a high-end culinary experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate the restaurant team by example
Provide consistent training mentoring and development of staff
Ensure excellent food and beverage service meeting luxury hospitality standards
Host and liaise with guests responding to requests and feedback professionally
Proactively drive sales generate new ideas and enhance guest experience
Manage budgets and cost controls while maintaining service excellence
Ensure adherence to hygiene and safety standards across all operations
Complete all administrative tasks and reporting related to restaurant operations
Requirements:
2 to 4 years management experience in a 5-star hotel or fine dining environment
Strong people management and leadership skills
Excellent communication and guest engagement ability
Strong wine knowledge and background in customer service
Practical hands-on approach and ability to lead from the front
Organised detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
Proven experience in budgeting procurement and cost control
Training and coaching experience is essential
