Job Description

Job Purpose

GC Solar is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Representative with a strong background in renewable energy. The ideal candidate must possess excellent knowledge of solar and clean energy products and maintain a strong client base within the industry. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Our dedicated team offers exceptional after-sales support and technical services especially in the commercial sector. With a focus on sustainability we have a team of engineers and supply solutions for utilities mines and commercial buildings leading the way in South Africa s solar energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify engage and close new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of clients through consultative sales and exceptional service.
  • Develop tailored solutions based on customer needs and project requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends product innovations and competitor offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical operations and finance) to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts pipeline updates and activity reports to management.

Requirements

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Sales or a related field will be an added advantage.


Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience in sales with at least 2 3 years in the renewable energy sector.

Additional Requirements

Valid driver s license and own vehicle



Qualifications and Experience Required Education: Degree or diploma in Business Law, Commercial Law, Corporate Governance, or a related field (preferred but not strictly required with sufficient experience). Experience: Minimum 3 5 years in a similar role supporting executives or legal teams. Experience in legal drafting, document control, or contract management is essential. Familiarity with legal terminology and the South African legal/business landscape. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with document management systems and e-signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Pro). Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. High degree of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. Ability to anticipate needs, work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
