Description
RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SHERQ Manager to join the operations team of a leading food processing company based in Germiston. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take full ownership of the Safety Health Environmental Risk and Quality (SHERQ) function within a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation monitoring and continuous improvement of SHERQ systems and standards.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation regulations and company policies.
- Develop and deliver safety training and awareness programs for staff at all levels.
- Conduct routine risk assessments audits incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Lead ISO compliance efforts and coordinate external audits.
- Compile detailed reports SHERQ performance metrics and drive corrective/preventative actions.
- Foster a safety-first culture across all departments.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) with a relevant Diploma or Degree in Safety Management Environmental Sciences or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a SHERQ or SHEQ Manager role preferably in manufacturing logistics or industrial environments.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 ISO 14001 ISO 45001 standards and relevant South African legislation.
- Strong leadership interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop implement and manage effective SHERQ systems.
- Excellent report-writing and analytical capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
