LOCATION: Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation
Qualifications/Experience RequiredMinimum mandatory qualifications:
- Relevant IT Diploma / Degree
Minimum mandatory experience:
- 5 years of designing developing and implementing automation solutions for various business processes inside corporate or medium sized business
- 5 years of conducting testing and validation of automation solutions to ensure they meet quality standards
- 7 years of analyzing data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of automation initiatives and identify areas for improvement
- 7 years of document the testing process workflows and results to maintain a comprehensive record of the softwares quality assurance activities
Advantageous experience:
- Proven track record of successful projects delivered
- Proven experience in senior/leadership roles fulfilled in IT/engineering teams
- Agile working experience (any framework)
- Solid proficiency in automated test script design and implementation (by utilizing Cypress Selenium or and Equivalent Test Automation Tool)
- Ability to implement integration mechanisms for reporting of results from above scripts into a dashboard or reporting application (for example Jira)
- Ability to interpret requirements documents/artefacts and using these to create a test script specification from this
- Solid proficiency in Test Plan development and execution
- Proven experience in Defect Identification and resolution
- Proven ability to make Quality Improvement Recommendations
- Extensive Workflow Documentation and Analysis
- Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

- Ability to work interdependently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent quality
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) on technical and non-technical level

The SW Tester/Test Automation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality functionality and performance of software applications and systems.
This role involves developing and executing comprehensive test plans identifying and resolving software defects and collaborating with the development team to improve the overall quality and configuration of the software products.
- Test Plan Development and Execution: Develop and execute detailed test plans and scripts to thoroughly evaluate the functionality and performance of software applications and systems. Ensure that the software meets all technical and functional requirements as defined by the stakeholders
- Defect Identification and Resolution: Perform thorough workflow analysis to detect and document any problems or issues within the software applications and systems. Work closely with the development team to diagnose and resolve software defects providing clear and actionable feedback
- Quality Improvement Recommendations: Analyze test results and provide recommendations for quality improvements both for the current software modules and future iterations. Suggest enhancements to the product configuration and architecture to optimize the softwares performance and reliability
- Workflow Documentation and Analysis: Document the testing process workflows and results to maintain a comprehensive record of the softwares quality assurance activities. Utilize the documented information to identify patterns trends and opportunities for process improvement
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with the development team to ensure a seamless integration of quality assurance practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Serve as a subject matter expert providing technical guidance and support to stakeholders and end-users as needed
