Description
A company offering analytical and microbiology services in the fresh produce and agricultural sector requires a Sales Representative to join their team. Duties will include but is not limited to: pro-actively promote and sell the companys analytical and microbiology services which includes water testing microbiology quality testing chemical analysis on fresh produce and agrochemical residue testing; on occasion be willing to do sampling of fresh produce; maintain customer relationships within the region; maintaining sales and services as well as implementing all sales and marketing strategies for a range of services; arranging client meetings;; attending to customers enquiries and resolving all issues professionally; researching and driving strategies to develop the market; compiling quotations and following-up on orders; meeting sales targets; identifying areas of growth within the region and identifying possible strategies to enable this; building and maintaining relationships with existing customers.
Key Requirements
Relevant scientific or agricultural qualification. Sound laboratory knowledge and experience would be an advantage. Previous sales experience in the same industry will be beneficial. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Will be required to travel to clients within the Northen Cape. Drivers license essential.
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate must have a sales personality; be well spoken with good communication skills. be well presented and prepared to travel; be computer literate and able to cope under pressure. Ability to work independently. Excellent organizational skills.
