Job Description

A top-tier legal firm seeks a Junior Librarian to provide research reference and information services to internal teams across Johannesburg Durban and Cape Town. You will support legal professionals with business development insights manage interlibrary loans and maintain electronic/legal resources. The successful candidate can be based either in Johannesburg Durban or Cape Town

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and respond to high-level queries
  • Support BD teams with strategic monitoring and legal updates
  • Catalogue circulate and maintain library materials
  • Assist with user training and manage resources during absences

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Library & Information Science
  • 3–5 years of law library experience
  • Strong knowledge of LexisNexis Juta Sabinet and library systems (e.g. Sirsi Inmagic)
  • Excellent communication research and organisational skills
