Your Purpose:
As a GroupIT Network Engineer your mission is to ensure the stability security and scalability of our network infrastructure. You will play a key role in designing implementing and maintaining high-availability networking systems to deliver optimal performance for both users and systems. This role demands a proactive detail-oriented individual who can work under pressure respond rapidly in crisis scenarios and is passionate about delivering a secure and reliable network environment.
Your Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for supporting monitoring and enhancing network infrastructure across all business locations. This includes but is not limited to implementing secure LAN/WAN/WLAN and firewall configurations responding to incidents managing network backups and creating comprehensive documentation. Youll work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve issues and implement improvements. Additionally youll conduct regular network performance evaluations enforce cybersecurity best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability availability and efficiency of our IT environment.
Whats Required:
To succeed in this position you must have a minimum of 5 years IT-related experience with solid knowledge in TCP/IP networking VLANs routing protocols and endpoint security. You must hold a valid Code 08 drivers license and be confident working in office data centre and remote settings. Certifications such as CompTIA A and N are mandatory with Security HP/Aruba CCNA/CCNP and FortiGate/FortiOS considered advantageous. Strong documentation communication and troubleshooting skills are essential along with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. You should be self-driven proactive and comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Where you will be working:
You will be primarily office-based with periodic travel to remote sites both locally and internationally. This hands-on role requires occasional lifting of networking equipment and working in data centres. You will be part of a collaborative fast-paced team and may be required to respond to urgent issues outside of standard working hours.
