We are looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team to support VSD technicians and perform
maintenance repairs and installations on VSDs pumps motors uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and relatedelectrical systems in industrial and commercial environments. The successful candidate will ensure equipmentreliability optimize performance and minimize downtime for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist VSD technicians with installation commissioning troubleshooting and repairs of variable
speed drives and motor control systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment including motors pumps
VSDs UPS systems switchgear and control panels.
Diagnose electrical faults identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Install and wire new equipment ensuring compliance with electrical standards and safety
regulations.
Read interpret and update electrical schematics wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
Maintain accurate records of work performed including service reports and maintenance logs.
Support standby and call-out requirements as part of a rotating schedule.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and site safety policies.
Collaborate with other technicians engineers and clients to ensure timely completion of projects
and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualified Electrician with a recognized trade certificate (e.g. Electrical Trade Certificate diploma or
equivalent).
Minimum 5 years experience as an industrial electrician preferably in environments involving
VSDs motors pumps or UPS systems.
Experience with installation maintenance and troubleshooting of low and medium voltage systems.
Valid drivers license.
Skills & Competencies:
Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems motor controls and automation fundamentals.
Strong fault-finding diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical & Other Requirements:
Capable of working in industrial environments including confined spaces and at heights as needed.
Able to lift carry and maneuver tools and equipment relevant to the role.
Willingness to participate in an on-call/standby rotation for after-hours service requirements.
