Business Development Associate (FTC)

Their team is passionate about compliance innovation and strategic growth.
We are seeking a driven and confident Business Development Associateto join our clients dynamic Licensing Division on a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded individual who thrives in a role that blends strategic stakeholder engagement revenue generation and impactful negotiations.
In this role you will build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders in the corporate and public sector ensure license agreements are executed efficiently and drive revenue through collections and contract closures. Youll also be empowered to shape licensing strategies contribute to business planning and represent the organisation in key negotiations.
This is more than just a sales role its a chance to lead high-level deals influence compliance frameworks and play a central role in a mission-driven organisation that champions creators rights.
Negotiate and close licensing agreements with key corporate and government entities
Drive revenue by ensuring completed license agreements are processed and invoices are settled
Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior-level stakeholders and municipalities
Support collections efforts through targeted client engagement and relationship management
Submit monthly business development and collection plans aligned with team objectives
Investigate and resolve client queries and licensing issues
Conduct periodic reassessments and on-site inspections to ensure licensing compliance
Create effective and professional licensing communications and proposals
Deliver accurate monthly reporting and maintain records in line with internal procedures
Must-Haves:
Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or related field
Minimum 3 years experience in a senior sales licensing or business development role
Demonstrated knowledge of sales techniques: prospecting influencing and negotiation
Valid Code 08 drivers license and ability to drive a manual vehicle
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong numeracy and reporting capability
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience working within a Collective Management Organisation (CMO) or IP-related environment
Solid understanding of pricing and discount structures
Exposure to government or public sector business development
