Job Description

  • Permanent full-time role 35 hours per week

City of Newcastle (CN) is looking for a capable people leader to join as our Manager Portfolios to lead the Program Management team and its associated project program and portfolio controls functions within the Project Management Office.

The Project Management Office is a service provider which exists to optimise infrastructure investment and project delivery for business areas (clients) across the organisation. Here your ideas and efforts directly shape the places where you and your community live work and play.

As the Manager Portfolios you will be pivotal in the effective integrated management of program and portfolio delivery planning prioritisation and project management services. This roles primary function is to lead the team to provide strategic direction motivation and guidance to support the organisation in the delivery of their respective portfolios and programs of work.

This role is key in building and maintaining a culture that proactively engages with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice guidance and recommendations to enable asset managers and other business areas to maximise their benefits and contribution to business needs and the Citys strategic objectives.

Remuneration: $138801.63 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment 12% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week
