Sous Chef Luxury Restaurant Group Port Elizabeth
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury restaurant group based in Port Elizabeth.
This role is ideal for a creative and passionate culinary professional looking to work in an innovative high-end kitchen environment. The successful candidate must have the ability to lead in the absence of the Head Chef and deliver exceptional quality addition the role includes the ability and willingness to conduct cooking classes as part of the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen
Assist with menu development and food presentation
Maintain the highest food quality standards and hygiene regulations
Conduct engaging and informative cooking classes when required
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth service delivery
Oversee stock control ordering and cost management
Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols at all times
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining or luxury restaurant environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
A creative flair for food presentation and innovation
Ability to host and lead cooking classes with confidence
Thorough knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Reliable team-oriented and passionate about culinary excellence
Package:
Salary: R18000 per month
Full-time position
