Short-Term Actuary Pricing Focus

A leading player in the insurance industry is looking for a Short-Term Actuary with a strong focus on pricing to join their high-performing actuarial team. This is your chance to drive pricing strategy and contribute across a range of actuarial functions while collaborating closely with underwriting product and finance teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the development calibration and refinement of short-term insurance pricing models
- Apply advanced techniques to ensure competitiveness and profitability in pricing strategies
- Conduct regular rate reviews and support product development with actuarial insights
- Perform reserving reinsurance and capital modelling for non-life portfolios
- Contribute to IFRS17 implementation and reserving strategies
- Provide detailed analysis of underwriting and claims performance
- Present actuarial insights and pricing recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data product and risk
- Nearly or newly qualified actuary
- 3 years actuarial experience in short-term (non-life) insurance specifically with pricing exposure
- Deep knowledge of pricing methodologies GLMs and rate-making techniques
- Strong technical ability in Python R SQL or actuarial software (e.g. Emblem ResQ or similar)
- Excellent communication skills able to present technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences
- Proactive innovative and excited to work in a collaborative fast-paced environment
