Job Description

Our client is currently recruiting in their Accounts department the position for an Accounts Assistant. The Accounts Assistant will be a support to the finance team by performing a range of accounting and administrative duties. This includes processing transactions reconciling accounts maintaining financial records and assisting with month-end reporting. The role requires attention to detail accuracy and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of customer invoices.
  • Daily processing of supplier invoices.
  • Capturing and reconciliation of cash book.
  • Weekly processing of petty cash
  • Monthly reconciliation of creditors.
  • Capturing of payments on Bank.
  • Follow up outstanding payments from customers.
  • Check delivery books weekly.
  • Liaising with workshop manager.
  • Assist with liaising of customers.
  • Assist with following up on quotations when required.
  • Assist with following up on order numbers.
  • Assist with stock take and handle queries.
  • Monthly Engineering timesheets.

Competencies Include:

Pastel Partner V19 accounting.

Knowledge of Excel and Word.

Customer service.

Problem solving.

Perform well as part of a team

Communication
