Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager
Location: Cape Town
Type: Full-Time
Salary: R18000 R23000 (dependent on experience)
An iconic and elegant hospitality establishment in Cape Town is seeking a dedicated and experiencedAssistant Restaurant Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations upholding service excellence and supporting the Restaurant Manager in leading a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that all company policies procedures and SOPs are adhered to
Promote effective communication by attending and participating in regular staff meetings
Plan direct and control the department including staff rostering
Supervise staff effectively and ensure high service standards
Conduct and oversee stocktakes
Identify training needs and assist with implementation
Monitor and manage sales and beverage stock in collaboration with the F&B Controller
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items specials and seasonal offerings
Ensure uniform standards are upheld and staff are well-presented at all times
Requirements:
Minimum of 23 years experience in a similar high-paced hospitality environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail with strong initiative and interpersonal skills
Reliable trustworthy and responsible individual
Professional well-spoken and presentable
Guest-centric mindset with a passion for service
Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays
Upholds a strong sense of integrity acting in the best interest of the business
