An exciting opportunity exists for a Planner to join the Garment Division of a well-established retailer based in Umgeni Business Park.
Job Description:
Setting the sales and profit targets by Category based on previous years performance as well as any missed opportunities
Bottom Up Plan for New Financial Year / New Season
Driving weekly planning meetings with relevant Buyers.
Building bottom up Assortment Plans with relevant Buyer
Understanding price point analysis as well as matrix building around the relevant category (good better best)
Managing OTB in accordance to sales (stock to sales ratio)
Liaising with Buyers regarding Outstanding Orders.
Reviewing ranges with Buyers and suppliers and selecting products or discontinuing products based on historical data
Identifying problems with GPs and Forward Cover and managing with relevant Buyer
Managing markdown as well as monitoring the realisation of the markdowns by store aged stock management
Ensuring that stores are sufficiently stocked in the right categories to maximise sales
New store management - ensuring the correct split across categories are given for new store openings
Store gradings by Category
Working with the buyers on pricing and product selection where required
Prepping and analysis of reports for management (daily weekly and monthly)
Reporting on performance of promotions and markdowns
SWOT and Reviews prep and analysis for presenting
