Job Description
Salary: R 600 000 / R 650 000 per annum
Location: Johannesburg / Remote Role (South Africa-based with regional travel)
Experience:3 years in retail store or area management
About the Role:
As an Area Manager youll be responsible for the day-to-day performance and strategic execution of multiple retail locations. Youll work closely with store teams to ensure compliance boost sales and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Note:This role requires regular travel within your assigned region and occasional visits to Cape Town. A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support the operations of multiple retail stores
- Monitor store performance and implement improvement strategies
- Ensure compliance with company policies legal standards and operational procedures
- Collaborate with head office teams including supply chain HR and finance
- Coach and develop Store Managers and their teams
- Conduct regular store visits and audits
- Assist with planning and executing regional sales strategies
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar retail management or Area Manager role
- Strong understanding of retail operations compliance and performance metrics
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce or a related field (advantageous)
- Valid drivers license and own vehicle (essential)
- Willingness to travel regionally and to Cape Town as needed
- Confident self-motivated and results-driven with strong leadership skills
