Job Description
We are seeking an automation and instrumentation engineer to join an electrical engineering firm in Nelspruit.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement control systems for industrial processes.
- Install calibrate and maintain instrumentation and automation equipment.
- Develop and program PLCs SCADA and HMI systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical electrical and process engineers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Instrumentation Engineering Automation Engineering or related field.
- Experience in automation and instrumentation in an industrial setting.
- Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens Allen-Bradley etc.) SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols.
- Strong understanding of sensors actuators and process control systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards (e.g. IEC ISA ISO).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
