Lead Project Engineer / Structural Design Engineer Cranes & Systems
Overview
This position is for an experienced engineer ready to take ownership of complex overhead crane projects from concept through production. The role blends structural design FEA and customer collaboration in a hands-on environment offering the opportunity to lead engineering initiatives and mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities

Lead overhead crane engineering projects from design through production.

Conduct FEA and stress/strain analysis for performance and compliance.

Design welded steel structures using SolidWorks with a system-level approach.

Collaborate with sales and customers on tailored material handling solutions.

Provide hands-on production support addressing problems and reviewing manufacturability.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a high-performance team.
Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Extensive experience in structural steel or heavy fabricated equipment.

Proficiency in SolidWorks and structural FEA.

Ability to work in both shop floor and customer site environments.

Experience with crane systems or engineered-to-order products is a plus.
Compensation

Base salary: $125000 $145000 (depending on experience).
